Mahiki's Second Success at Southwell

Mahiki was bought in for 9,500gns after comfortably cashing in on the drop to selling company over course and distance seven days earlier. She had more to do on her nursery debut under a penalty, but travelled smoothly and showed some fighting spirit to repel the persistent runner-up. She seems to have a good cruising speed for this grade and has struck up an excellent partnership with Jamie Kyne. She will go up for this success, but should be able to win more races and looks highly effective on this surface.
