No jockey rides this twisting track better than Richard Hughes who produced a fine performance on Falcon Rock who he was riding for the first time. The lightly raced ex-French horse had not looked straightforward on his last two outings and was unlucky on the latest. Hughes dropped him out then made a race-winning move when switching him sharply from the outer to get the rail inside the two furlong marker. He took plenty of persuasion to go past the leader but was well on top close to home. He is suited by this distance and might stay a bit further.
