A confirmed hold-up performer, Aeroplane, was the class act in this race, he was best-in at the weights, and he only had to be cajoled along to win. Fresh and well after a four-month break, he quickened well in the straight and, though not entirely straightforward, is capable of winning much better races than this. Jamie Spencer hopes this will serve as a "nice confidence boost" for him, and that this narrow win in claiming company will help bring him down to a winning handicap mark again.
