Italian Tom È Vittorioso

Italian Tom won this contest with consummate ease. The most expensive of the field as a £36,000 two-year-old, he had shown much the best form in one run when just over two lengths fifth in a 5f auction at Leicester in April and once he got a split between horses was soon away for an easy win. He did edge to his left and had gone to his right on debut but it could have been the fast ground. He will be of interest off a low weight when nurseries start, having been bought back at the auction.
